Open Source Business Awards
The Open Source Business Foundation (OSBF) is now inviting entries for the 2009 Open Source Business Award. At the awards ceremony on January 28, 2009 during the "Open Source Meets Business" conference in Nuremberg, the participants of the business plan competition will have an opportunity to win a total of €78,000 (£61,000) in prize money. The winner will also have access to coaching by established international experts and for venture capital financing.
To be eligible for the award, submitted business models must be based on an OSI approved open source licence. Although OSBF is based in Germany, the competition is open to businesses throughout Europe. Closing date is November 30.
